Forum Rules (please read and dont get into trouble ok?)

Welcome to the official ACF and Comics forums! We are happy to finally get it up and running and that everybody can contribute and enjoy themselves. I wanted to clarify the rules for the forums so there is no misunderstanding or drama. I am going to use the fanimecon forum rules as a excellent example:

The ACF forums are for you guys, the community. We want a place where people can ask questions, have fun, and otherwise kick back and socialize.

To clarify:

• Don't do anything obviously wrong. This means "no racial slurs", "no hacking", "don't piss off the moderators", and other really obvious stuff.
  
• Do not circumvent an existing ban by using alternate accounts. Seriously.
  
• No untagged "graphic" material, or non-work-safe content. Even if it would be okay in your workplace, if it's something that someone else's boss doesn't want to look at, you probably need to not post it, or hide it behind several "NWS" warnings.
  
• Don't do illegal things. I'm not sure why this is an explicit rule, but there you are. No warez, filez, cracks, posts that discuss circumvention of things. If you want to show people how to torrent some awesome anime, please do not do it here.
  
• Please do not post stuff involving non-public personal information, unless they're okay with it being on a public forum, cached by search engines forever. "non-public personal information" includes last names, home addresses, work addresses, email addresses, IM handles, medical histories, SAT scores, etc. If you learn the name and address of someone on the boards, don't post it for all to see.
  
• Plase keep your signatures small. 150x500 is the stated size for both image and text. If it remains too large, we may edit your signature directly. That would be uncool.
  
• Don't hate. If someone posts how "Hey, I saw this new show and it's awesome," you don't need to join the thread solely to dump on it. If you want to disagree politely, fine. If you want to vehemently disagree, make a new thread. This also means no flaming, no flamebaiting, no personal insults, no trolling, no abuse, none of that. If you want to discuss something, fine. If you want to have a heated discussion, fine. If it turns into "You're an idiot", you're out of line. Go away.
  
• Don't debate lightly. Yes, half of this site is discussion boards. However, attempting to have a "serious" debate without citing sources or using sound reasons is an invitation for disaster. Flimsy debate threads will likely be locked early, so please don't start a serious debate unless you're ready to back it up in impressive fashion.

• Be smart. Don't be ignorant.
  
• Be nice. Seriously. Don't act like a jerk. If you want to act like a jerk, leave, start your own board, whatever. Just don't do it here.
